Our First Aid Training course is designed to equip learners with the essential knowledge and skills required to respond safely and effectively to injuries, illnesses, and medical emergencies. The training covers basic first aid principles, emergency response procedures, injury assessment, CPR, recovery position, bleeding and wound care, burns, fractures, choking, shock, and other common workplace emergencies. Learners are guided on how to provide appropriate first aid assistance while following recognised first aid standards, workplace procedures, and emergency response protocols. The course provides valuable knowledge for individuals seeking to improve their emergency response skills and support workplace health and safety in environments such as commercial buildings, industrial facilities, construction sites, warehouses, manufacturing plants, mining operations, schools, hospitality businesses, and other workplaces.
Introduction to First Aid: Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider, legal responsibilities, workplace requirements, and how to manage an emergency scene safely.
Primary Survey: Learn how to assess hazards, check a casualty’s responsiveness, identify immediate dangers, and call for emergency medical assistance using appropriate EMS procedures.
CPR & Basic Life Support (BLS): Learn adult CPR techniques, the safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), the recovery position, and appropriate responses to choking emergencies involving adults and children.
Bleeding & Wound Management: Learn how to identify different types of bleeding and provide appropriate first aid for cuts, grazes, punctures, and more serious wounds using pressure, dressings, and bandages.
Shock, Burns & Fractures: Learn to recognise signs and causes of shock, understand different types of burns and appropriate first aid responses, and provide basic support through splinting and immobilisation where appropriate.
Common Medical Emergencies: Learn how to recognise and respond appropriately to common medical emergencies that may occur in the workplace or during everyday activities.
Workplace First Aid Kit Requirements: Learn about the contents of a compliant first aid kit, proper storage, regular maintenance, stock checks, and record-keeping requirements.
