Our Hazchem Training Course provides learners with essential knowledge and safety awareness for the handling, transportation, and management of hazardous substances and dangerous goods. Training covers hazard identification, dangerous goods classification, labelling and signage, safety procedures, emergency response, spill management, personal protective equipment (PPE), safe loading and unloading, documentation, and legal and workplace requirements. The course is designed to help drivers, operators, and other workers understand the risks associated with hazardous materials and follow appropriate procedures to protect themselves, other people, property, and the environment.

Introduction to Hazardous Chemicals: Understanding hazardous substances, common hazard classifications, associated risks, and the legal and workplace requirements for handling dangerous goods safely.

Understanding Hazchem Codes: Learning to identify Hazchem signage, symbols, emergency action codes, dangerous goods categories, and the information used to communicate chemical hazards.

Safe Handling & Storage: Training covers safe chemical handling, compatibility between substances, suitable ventilation and storage conditions, spill prevention, and correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Chemical Transport Procedures: Understanding safe procedures for transporting dangerous goods, including correct labelling and packaging, transport documentation, loading and offloading procedures, and securing hazardous materials.

 

Spill Prevention & Emergency Response: Developing knowledge of spill prevention, spill-kit use, containment procedures, emergency response, basic firefighting principles, and appropriate first-aid measures following chemical exposure.

Safety Data Sheets (SDS): Learning how to read and interpret SDS information, identify chemical hazards, understand exposure risks, and follow recommended safety and handling procedures.

Environmental Protection: Understanding responsible waste management, preventing soil and water contamination, and following safe disposal procedures for hazardous substances.
