Competency Assessment: Learners are assessed on their theoretical knowledge, practical operating ability, order picking techniques, safe platform operation, hazard awareness, and ability to operate the order picker safely and competently.
Machine Orientation: Learn what an order picker is, its functions, and the different types used in the workplace, including low-level and high-level order pickers. Training covers major machine components and their functions, operating controls, safety features, warning systems, platform controls, maximum operating capacities, and machine indicators according to manufacturer specifications.
Pre-Operation Checks: Learn how to conduct daily order picker inspections, including checking wheels, brakes, batteries, hydraulic systems, forks or platforms, guardrails, emergency stop controls, and overall machine condition. Learners are trained to identify hazards before operation, complete inspection checklists, report faults, maintain inspection records, and understand applicable workplace safety requirements.
